It’s Okay to not be Okay

The series was a global Netflix success, but it received a low rating in its own country, owing to Kim So Hyun's comeback excitement, which the people perceived as a 'Forced acting'.

It ruled Netflix for a long time due to the sizzling chemistry between the protagonists. For the natives, though, K-dramas are meant to be family-friendly, & the series didn't meet that criteria.

Surprisingly, the revenge-turned love story did well for a global audience; yet, it got a poor rating due to the K-pop stars' frequent presence in the major roles, which many viewers found irritating.

Despite its star-studded cast, the drama fell short of expectations & struggled to gain traction. But, then it was warmly received by the global public. BTS V & his popularity also gets the credit.

Uncontrollably fond

The makers had quite a high expectation with the drama because of the star cast however after getting a strong start it’s viewership kept getting declined. But became a major hit in parts of Asia.

True Beauty

The popular webtoon adaptation led to the second lead syndrome in a global audience, but it was a flop in Korea. The presence of Astro's Cha Eun woo earned it cult status globally.

Doom At your service

In Korea, this fantasy k-drama was an unexpected disappointment. While it battled gaining viewership in its home nation, it gained a large following abroad.

Welcome to Waikiki

For several weeks, it topped Netflix's list of most-watched Korean dramas. In Korea, however, it received a 1.7 percent rating.

Weightlifting fairy Kim Bok Joo

Despite having an amazing plot and outstanding chemistry between the leads the drama was somehow overshadowed by Lee Min Ho’s Legend of the blue sea which was released at the same time.

Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo

For several weeks, it topped Netflix's list of most-watched Korean dramas. But, the reason for it’s poor rating in Korea was again the taste of audiences who don’t like idols doing acting.
