The Vivek Agnihotri’s directorial based on the true events of Kashmiri Pandits exodus that took place in 1990 has shattered multiple box office records.


7 day benchmark

On the seventh day of its release, the film has seen remarkable growth. the film, which debuted to Rs 3.55 crore on March 11, has grossed over Rs 18.05 crore by the 7th


8th day collection

On Holi, March 18, the film reportedly grossed Rs 22 crore, bringing the total box office collection to Rs 119.30 crore.


150 Crore benchmark

Looking at how fast the film grossed 100 crore, the next target of 150 crore is predicted to be achieved by the end of the second weekend.



The film was initially released in 630 theaters, however the whooping success of the film led it to more than 4000 plus screens.

Record setter

'Dangal,' starring Aamir Khan, and 'Baahubali: The Conclusion,' starring Prabhas, has managed to reach such phenomenal success on its seventh day of release.


New record

But, now ‘The Kashmir Files’ has broken the 8th day record of both the films which was 19.75 cr & 18.59 cr respectively. The 3rd day collection of ‘TKF’ is 22 Crore.



Made on a budget of approx 15-20 Crore, the amount of success the film has gained is tremendous.

With the release of Akshay Kumar’s Bachchan Pandey the film was supposed to slow down a bit, but looks like it is getting stronger with each passing day.
