Guru Nanak Death Anniversary
He died on September 22, 1539, at the age of 70 at Kartarpur. He was born in a village named Rai Bhoi Ki Talwandi, which is now known as Nanaka Sahib, near Lahore. Let's see his key teachings.

'Naam Japo' (Chant the name of God)
He emphasised meditating on God's name to gain control over five evils- kama, krodh, lobh, moh, ahankar- meaning, lust, anger, greed, attachment and ego.
'Sarbat daa bhalaa'
Sri Guru Nanak dev emphasised the concept of universal brotherhood.
Speak the truth without any fear
Sri Guru Nanak Dev said to always speak the truth without any fear, as truth is permanent.
