11 cops are suspended in response to the Kanjhawala affair | Kanjhawala CCTV Footage

The Delhi Kanjhawala case has resulted in the suspension of 11 police officers. The Ministry of Home Affairs issued directives ordering severe action in this regard. After that, the police officers who were careless in the situation were subject to punishment. 

DCP also under radar

The Home Ministry has requested that the DCP provide an explanation of the law and order procedures in place at the time the incident occurred. If the appropriate response is not given, action will also be taken against them. The Ministry of Home Affairs has also voiced alarm over the black spot in addition to this. According to sources, instructions have also been provided to set up sufficient lighting in the vicinity of the murder site.

Which officials got suspended?

Two sub-inspectors, four assistant sub-inspectors, four head constables, and one constable are among the 11 Rohini district police officers who have been placed on administrative leave. On the day of the event, six of these were on PCR duty and five were on picket duty. Following the findings from an investigative team led by Special Commissioner Shalini Singh, the Home Ministry ordered the Delhi Police to suspend all officers stationed on the road where the incident occurred on Thursday.
