Police searching Amritpal Singh; 4 acquaintances transported to Assam by Air Force plane

A significant operation was carried out against him in Punjab yesterday. 78 individuals were detained during this operation. The key figures in Amritpal’s life are also among those detained. As a result, these 4 suspects were recently flown to Dibrugarh in Assam by a special Air Force aircraft from a security perspective and remain in custody in Dibrugarh Central Prison. They are accompanied by a team of 27 Punjab Police officers, including IG Prison. At the Mohanbari airport, Dibrugarh DC and SP welcomed the Punjab Police team under strict security.

Police recovered car, weapons

The car that Amritpal Singh fled in during the police’s search operation yesterday has been found, according to the police. From that vehicle, police have also retrieved a 315 bore pistol, a sword, and a walkie-talkie. The Punjab Police has also detained a phoney licence plate in addition to this. According to Jalandhar Police Commissioner Kuldeep Singh Chahal, the police pursued the suspect for roughly 20 to 25 kilometres before he was able to escape. We have some weapons back. Two cars have also been confiscated in addition to this. We are conducting additional searches, and we'll make an arrest soon.
