A man who allegedly entered West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's residence in South Kolkata late on Saturday night was hiding inside the house. However, security personnel caught him on Sunday morning. He has been handed over to the local Kalighat police station. Police is interrogating him that with what intention he dared to enter that high-security zone by climbing the wall.

He confessed that he entered the chief minister's residence around 1 pm by climbing the boundary wall and hiding there for the whole night. Now questions are being raised that how did the person enter the Chief Minister's residence by climbing the wall, dodging the security personnel present there and also escaping from the CCTV cameras installed there.

Negligence by the Deployed Police Personnel

Recently, an elderly couple was murdered in this locality, raising questions about the security system there. Then it came to know that many CCTV cameras installed there were not working. A senior official of the city police said that questions about the negligence of the policemen posted there cannot be ruled out. It is learned that all the officers and personnel in charge of security arrangements at the Chief Minister's residence will be questioned and the negligent party will also be investigated.
