Manish Sisodia, the deputy chief minister of Delhi and minister of education, arrived at the CBI headquarters from his residence in preparation for interrogation regarding the alleged liquor scam. Thousands of party members had gathered outside Sisodia's home during this time to raise his spirits. In light of all of this, security agencies had expressed concern about a commotion, and as a result, the administration had strong security personnel stationed outside Sisodia's home.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has demonstrated against this on the streets. 50 AAP leaders, including Minister Gopal Rai and MP Sanjay Singh, have been detained by the police. Sisodia visited Raj Ghat before heading to CBI Headquarters as another act of respect for Mahatma Gandhi. Outside the CBI headquarters, preparations are being made for a sizable demonstration. There, security has been stepped up.

Sisodia had already stated his intention to participate in the investigation. Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister, and Manish Sisodia, his deputy, have previously expressed concern that they would be detained if the CBI contacts them once again for questioning.
