Punjab Assembly resolution against BSF jurisdiction:

At the Punjab Assembly, on Thursday, all the parties unanimously passed a condemnation motion against the Central Government considering the matter of increasing the jurisdiction area of BSF from 15 km to 50 km. The Punjab government and all the party legislators present in the Punjab Assembly have demanded from the central government that the order to increase the jurisdiction of BSF issued on 11th October 2021 should be withdrawn immediately.

Speaking in the House on the issue of BSF's jurisdiction during the special session of the Punjab Legislative Assembly, Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi appeared against the central government on the issue of abrogation of Section 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. CM Channi said that by removing Section 370, the central government has violated the rights of the states and Akali Dal was also a part of the central government during that time on the issue of removing Section 370, but they remained silent on this whole matter and at the same time the central government started taking away the rights of the state governments.

Akali Dal, a traitor party of Punjab, says CM Channi:

Targetting the Akali Dal, CM Channi said that it is a traitor party of Punjab, which supported the central government. CM Channi said that no one was allowing RSS and BJP to enter Punjab, but Akali Dal brought them to Punjab. Channi also targeted RSS saying that the RSS is the enemy of Punjab.

Punjab government to move to the Supreme Court against the order of central government:

Last month, Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi had said that the Punjab government would move the Supreme Court against the Centre's order extending the BSF's jurisdiction in the state to 50 km from the India-Pakistan border. It was also said that soon a special session of the Punjab Legislative Assembly can be called to stop the order of the Central Government, and a resolution or a law can be passed. Channi said that all the political parties of Punjab will come together in the fight to take back this order from the Centre.
