Elections were delayed, the presiding officer was unlawfully chosen, nominated councillors were unlawfully chosen, and now the oath of office is not being administered to the elected councillors of the people. Why hold elections if you can't respect the people's will?

Elections stuck due to the uproar

Due to the fierce opposition from BJP and Aam Aadmi Party councillors, the elections for the mayor, deputy mayor, and members of the standing committee of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi are now stalled. The MCD House's sessions were postponed till a later date by the presiding officer because of the commotion.
