Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury has apologized in writing for the remarks made on President Droupadi Murmu. The Congress leader said in a letter to his President that I assure you that my tongue had slipped. I apologize and request you to accept it. News agency ANI has released this letter on Twitter.

What was in the letter

Apologizing to the President, he wrote a letter in which he said, "I am writing this letter and express my regret for the wrong word used for your position by mistake. I assure you that the tongue was simply slipped." I apologize and request you to accept it."

Union Minister Smriti Irani and other BJP MPs had asked not only Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury but also Congress President Sonia Gandhi to apologize. This statement made about the President of the country is now taking the form of a big controversy. Chaudhary's derogatory remarks about the country's first tribal woman President shows the decline in the level of political discourse in the country.

FIR was registered against Adhir Ranjan

After being hurt by the indecent and unrestrained remarks made by Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury against the country's President Draupadi Murmu, a written complaint was made to the strong tribal leader and BJP's National Minister Omprakash Dhurve.

On the complaint of Dhurve, Dindori Kotwali police registered a case under section 153(2),505A and sent the complaint to Delhi. Delhi Police will take further action on this FIR, but now it has to be seen whether the President grants her pardon or not.
