After Navjot Singh Sidhu, Daler Mehndi got the responsibility in Patiala Jail, got the job of Accountant

Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu and Punjab's famous singer Daler Mehndi are currently lodged in Patiala Central Jail. Both are kept in the same barracks. Along with this, the jail administration has also entrusted the work to both of them. Sidhu has got the job of Clerk in jail. While Daler Mehndi has been given the responsibility of Munshi. Different courts have sentenced sentences in both the cases. Sidhu has been sentenced to one year and Daler to two years.

Daler and Sidhu kept in the same barracks

According to sources, the jail administration has kept Navjot Sidhu and Daler Mehndi in the same barracks of Patiala Jail. The barrack where Sidhu and Daler Mehndi are kept is number 10. Daler is serving a sentence in jail in the pigeon pelting case.

After Daler Mehndi entered the prison premises, the jail authorities carried out the process of document and verification. Jail officials have said that everything inside the jail for Daler Mehndi is fixed according to the menu of the jail. However, Mehndi's lawyer LM Gulati revealed that she is filing an appeal in the Punjab and Haryana High Court against the conviction order.

Other personalities in the same Jail

Apart from Daler Mehndi and Sidhu, former Punjab minister Bikram Majithia, arrested IAS officer Sanjay Popli, former Congress minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot 's OSD Chamkaur Singh and death row convict Balwant Singh Rajoana are also lodged in Patiala Central Jail. A jail official on condition of anonymity confirmed that Daler Mehndi has been kept in ward number 10.

Navjot Sidhu has also been kept in the same ward number, serving a rigorous imprisonment of one year in the 1988 road rage case. Apart from this, SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia has also been kept in the adjoining barracks of Daler Mehndi.
