Arvind Kejriwal has come to Gujarat on a two-day tour. During this, journalists questioned him regarding making Medha Patkar the CM face. On Tuesday, he claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is losing in the upcoming Gujarat assembly elections and the Congress has been wiped out while the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will win. He even said that after Modi, the BJP is going to make Sonia Gandhi the PM candidate from the backdoor.

Arvind Kejriwal’s comment

Arvind Kejriwal said that I have been roaming in Gujarat for the last several months and meeting the people. Lawyers, auto drivers, farmers and traders have said that there is a lot of corruption here. People have to pay money if they want to get work done in any government department. If you say anything against them, they reach to intimidate and threaten. Threatens traders and industrialists with raids and says they will get your business closed. There is corruption and hooliganism all around. He said that today we give a guarantee. If the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government is formed in Gujarat, then corruption free and fear free governance will be given.

Medha Patkar as CM candidate

AAP had given a ticket to Medha Patkar in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. BJP has been accusing Patkar of harming the interests of the people of Gujarat by opposing the Narmada Dam project. Kejriwal said, 'I have heard that BJP is making Sonia Gandhi its prime ministerial candidate after (Prime Minister Narendra) Modi ji. Do I have the courage to ask questions? I know you feel intimidated (about asking this question). In the next press conference, ask him that Kejriwal has alleged that you are making Sonia Gandhi Modi's successor and prime ministerial candidate and what do you have to say about this?’
