Since November, Delhi’s air quality has been a matter of concern. Today as well, the air quality has been recorded at a critical level. As per the report of the System of Air Quality And Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR), Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) is 369 today which is the ‘severe’ category.
The AQI in Noida was recorded 322. In Gurugram the AQI is 307.
The New Year brought a severe cold wave and fog for Delhi-NCR. According to the MD, the conditions of chilly days and nights will prevail till January 4. The Met department has predicted that Delhi-NCR may receive heavy to moderate rainfall on January 5, 6, and 7 while the temperature will continue to go down.
Along with a dip in temperature, the problem of pollution persists. The AQI recorded today was 369 which comes in the “severe” category.
Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 3 degrees Celsius below the normal. The minimum temperature on Tuesday was 4.2 degrees Celsius.
Also, the threat of corona is looming large in Delhi. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today tested positive for Covid-19. He has mild symptoms, CM Kejriwal informed on Twitter about his condition.
