Actor Akshay Kumar breaks Guinness World record for taking selfies

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has broken the Guinness World Record for clicking the maximum number of self-portraits in three minutes. The actor thanked his fans for making this goal possible.

Akshay Kumar holds a Guinness World Record 

Akshay Kumar is currently promoting his upcoming film, Selfiee with Emraan Hashmi. Amid all the busy promotions, he broke a Guinness World Record for the Most self-portrait photographs (selfies) at a meet and greet with fans scheduled in Mumbai. Akshay Kumar clicked 184 selfies in three minutes.

Whom did Akshay Kumar beat?

The ‘Entertainment’ actor broke the previously held world record of 168 selfies taken in three minutes by James Smith (USA). In 2015, Hollywood actor Dwayne Johnson held this record, with 105 selfies in three minutes at San Andreas promotion in London.

The actor posted a heartwarming message for his fans on social media. He posted, “I am ecstatic at breaking this unique World Record and sharing this moment with my fans! Everything that I have achieved so far and where I am at this moment of my life, is due to the unconditional love and support of my fans everywhere. This was my way of paying a special tribute to them, of acknowledging how they have stood by me and my work in my entire career.”
