Amrit Udyan | Mughal Garden 2023: The Union government on Saturday renamed the Mughal Gardens in New Delhi's Rashtrapati Bhavan to "Amrit Udyan". The panoramic Amrit Udyan will be open for tourists and visitors. The magnificent garden is famous all over the world for its picturesque panoramic blanket of a variety of flowers. You can see also see the kinds of trees, flowers, shrubs and herbs. If you are a lover of botany or just want to spend a nice day with family and friends, pay a visit to Amrit Udyan in 2023. 

The Central Government changed the name of the Mughal Gardens to Amrit Udyan in keeping with the theme of the "Amrit Mahotsav" commemorating 75 years of India's Independence.

Amrit Udyan | Mughal Garden Opening Date 2023

Amrit Udyan will be open for the visitors on January 31, 2023. The visitors are advised t book tickets prior before visiting the garden.

  • Tuesday to Sunday: 10 AM to 5 PM (Last entry till 4 pm)

  • Monday: CLOSED

Amrit Udyan | Mughal Garden Ticket Price 2023

  • First of all visit the official website of Mughal Gardens ticket booking

  • You will get three circuits of travel. You have to select Mughal Gardens Visit (during Udyannotsav).

  • After that you have to fill the required details like name, date of travel etc.

  • Then you have to register yourself by submitting your photo ID.

There is also a parking arrangement near the Mughal Gardens. If you are coming in your car then there is a provision for parking also. There is authorised parking near Mughal Gardens.

One can take entry and exit from Gate No. 35 in Mughal Garden. 


Who built Mughal Garden in Delhi?

You can see an amalgamation of Mughal and English architecture and flowers. Mughal Garden in Delhi was built by Sir Edwin Lutyens in 1917 in a Persian Charbagh style. It was completed in 1929. In the Charbag style, you can see the rectangular garden and the pond with a waterfall in its centre.


NOTE: People aged below 10 years and above 65 years are not allowed in Mughal Garden.
