Mulayam Singh Yadav’s younger daughter in law was not happy with Samajwadi Party and was having some conflicts within the party, which became beneficial for Bharatiya Janata Party as she has now joined BJP. She was in talks for joining BJP but now has officially become a member of BJP. This is the biggest shock given to Samajwadi Party by BJP, that too just before the assembly elections 2022. In this political environment, many politicians are changing their parties and joining others, because of which many BJP MLA’s have resigned from BJP and joined Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh.

She has issued a statement as to why she left SP and joined BJP. In her statement she said. "I am very thankful to the BJP. The nation always comes first for me, I admire PM Modi’s work.” She also said "I have also been influenced with BJP's works and schemes including Swachh Bharat Mission, welfare of women and employment. I will work in my fullest capacity”.

She praised BJPs strategies a lot and said that the nation will always come first for me. To this many officials and commented and have raised a lot of question.

And in Samajwadi Party, Akhilesh might also stand for this year’s election but the constituency is yet to be decided.
