Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday said he has learned that "most CBI officers" were against arresting his Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in the liquor policy case, but he was forced to do so without evidence due to "political pressure". was forced. He tweeted, "I am told that most of the CBI officers were against Manish Sisodia's arrest, but were subjected to 'political pressure'." 

A day earlier on Sunday, on the arrest of Sisodia, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had said that the Deputy Chief Minister is innocent and his arrest is 'dirty politics'. He had tweeted, 'Manish is innocent. His arrest is dirty politics. There is a lot of anger among the people due to the arrest of Manish. Everyone is watching. People are understanding everything. People will respond to this. This will boost our spirits further. Our struggle will be stronger.

Why Manish Sisodia is arrested? 

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Sunday evening after nearly eight hours of questioning over alleged corruption in the implementation of the 2021-22 Excise Policy. The probe agency says there were irregularities in both the formulation and implementation of the excise policy and it was allegedly aimed at benefiting people associated with the AAP.

The CBI officials were not satisfied with Sisodia's reply and alleged that Sisodia was not cooperating in the investigation which resulted in his arrest. The CBI said in a statement, 'He gave evasive answers and did not cooperate with the investigation even after being shown the evidence. That's why he has been arrested.
