Indian Shooter Avani Lekhara became the first woman to win two medals at a single edition of the Paralympics i.e., the Tokyo Paralympics 2020. Avani Lekhara Paralympics 2020 gold medalist, had won her second medal at the Tokyo Paralympics 2020 by winning a bronze medal in the Women’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions (SH1) event on 3rd September 2021, Friday.
The 19 Indian para-sportsperson also became the first Indian woman to win a Gold medal at the Tokyo Paralympics 2020 by finishing first in the Women’s 10m Rifle 3 Positions event.
