Mohammad Azam Khan, the head of the Samajwadi Party, made an appearance in the Special MP/MLA Court of Moradabad today to address the contempt of court case that was filed against him in 2020. Azam Khan said he couldn't attend court because he hadn't gotten the information correctly. The next hearing, in this case, has now been set for February 20 by the court.
Azam Khan began signaling that he was deaf and dumb by placing his finger on his mouth and ear throughout the presentation in response to the media's questioning. Azam Khan left in the car, avoiding any inquiries from the press.
Azam Khan was the subject of a case that was filed against him in 2008 at the Chhajlet police station in Moradabad for rioting, road blocking, and obstruction of official business. Another case of contempt of court was filed against Azam Khan in 2020 because he is accused of failing to show up in court despite being repeatedly summoned.
