Barabanki Accident: 9 people dead, 27 seriously injured; CM Yogi announces assistance of 2 lakh and 50k for deceased and injured.

In an accident of a Bus and Truck at Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh, around 9 people lost their lives while several other seriously injured.“Nine people were killed and 27 injured in a collision between a truck and a passenger bus in Barabanki,” said district magistrate Adarsh Singh. The rescue teams rushed the injured people to the local hospital, while those seriously injured were taken to the KGMU Trauma Centre in Lucknow. The SP of Barabanki, Yamuna Prasad, also confirmed the death of 9 passengers and injury of 27.

The police department has also issued a toll free number for any inquiry regarding the injured or deceased passengers. According to the reports, the bus was en-route Bahraich from Delhi via Lucknow when it collided head on against the truck. The Police rushed to the accident spot and rescued people. The injured passengers were rushed to the district hospital, among which 9 people were declared dead.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his grief for the Barabanki accident and also announced the financial assistance of Rs. 2 Lakh to be given to the family of deceased persons and 50,000 to be given to the injured ones. He also asked the administration to take care of the injured ones and provide them all the possible relief and help.
