The news is from Jammu and Kashmir where the police have achieved a big success. If IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar is to be believed, from today i.e. on Wednesday 25 May, nakas were imposed at many places across Kashmir. Three Pakistani terrorists have been killed in an ongoing encounter between security forces and terrorists in Kareri area of district Baramulla. However, a jawan of Jammu and Kashmir Police has also been martyred in this encounter.
J&K Police tweeted, quoting Inspector General of Police Kashmir Vijay Kumar, "Three Pakistani terrorists killed. One JKP jawan was also martyred in the encounter on the spot. Incriminating material including arms and ammunition has been recovered." The encounter took place after a joint team of police and security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation based on specific information about the presence of terrorists. As soon as the security forces reached the place where the terrorists were hiding, only then the terrorists started firing, after which the encounter started.

Earlier on Tuesday, terrorists attacked a policeman in Anchar area of Soura, Srinagar. In Anchar area, terrorists attacked policeman Saifullah Qadri with bullets. Qadri and his daughter were injured in the firing. He was taken to the nearest hospital for treatment. But, during this the policeman died. Daughter's treatment is going on.
IGP Kashmir told that these terrorists were active in that area for 3-4 months which we were looking for. The IGP said that 22 Pakistani terrorists have been killed so far this year.
