The Bharat Jodo Yatra that Rahul Gandhi was conducting through Jammu and Kashmir was temporarily halted in Banihal. The yatra was halted in Banihal on Friday (January 27, 2023) for a short period of time. Lack of security is a claim made by Congress. Rahul Gandhi left the yatra in the midst of this and continued his journey with the Bharat Jodo Yatra activists.
Rahul Gandhi himself also held a brief press conference and said, "Today, during the yatra, the police security system collapsed. After leaving the tunnel, the policemen were not seen. My security personnel said that we cannot go any further. I had to stop my yatra." The rest of the people were traveling. It is the responsibility of the administration to control the crowd."
Earlier on Friday, Rajni Patil, the Congress representative for Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, tweeted that the Jammu-Kashmir UT government had failed to provide protection for Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra. demonstrates attitude Congressman KC Venugopal claimed that the Bharat Jodo Yatra has been travelling without a security officer for the past 15 minutes at Banihal. This is a very dangerous error. Rahul Gandhi and the other passengers are unable to move about without security.
