Bengal SSC Scam: Cash found from another hideout of Arpita Mukherjee, machines brought to count money

Central agency ED's action is going on in the case of a school recruitment scam in West Bengal. Yesterday, the Enforcement Directorate officials raided the flat of Arpita Mukherjee, a close aide of Minister Partha Chaterjee, in Belgharia, Kolkata. During this a huge amount of cash has been recovered. Five bank officials have been called to count the notes. Along with this, cash counting machines were also called. How much money has been received, this thing has not been disclosed yet.

Other items recovered

Sources said that three kg of gold, silver coins and property documents have also been recovered during the raid. Arpita Mukherjee is currently in ED custody. He was arrested recently after a long interrogation. Earlier on July 22, the ED had seized cash worth Rs 21 crore from Arpita Mukherjee's hideout. Later, Partha Chatterjee was also arrested after a long interrogation.

Earlier, two diaries were seized from Arpita Mukherjee. According to sources, one of these diaries contains information about the cash Arpita Mukherjee used to deposit in her bank account. ED wants to know from where did this cash come to Arpita Mukherjee. In this diary there are details of depositing cash in different banks several times. This cash is in lakhs.

Partha Chaterjee in trouble

Minister Partha Chatterjee's troubles are increasing continuously in the teacher recruitment scam. The ED's screws are tightening on them. On one hand, while the agency is continuously interrogating Partha Chatterjee, on the other hand, the raids are also going on. On Wednesday, the ED carried out the raid on another flat of Arpita Mukherjee. In which the agency has also got some important documents along with huge cash. According to the report of ANI, 20 crore cash was found in the raid on Wednesday. Including the raids of the last time, only cash of about 40 crores has been recovered.
