Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka, is known as Silicon City. IT hub Bengaluru is said to be on the top of the scale of the hi-tech city, but the roads there are suffering from heavy rains. There are flood-like situations in many cities of Karnataka including Bangalore due to heavy rains. From home and shops to offices are full of water. Due to the torrential rains in Karnataka in the last two days, many areas have been flooded. Due to the submergence of roads, people are finding it difficult to leave their homes for office. The work of many IT companies has also been affected due to rains and floods. The dividers on the road have also been submerged in water.
Not only on the roads, but even the basements built in people's houses are also full of water. Homes and shops in many low-lying areas of Bengaluru city have been flooded. Normal life is affected by this. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has not yet expressed the possibility of relief to the people of Karnataka from the rains. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for Bengaluru and other districts like Kodagu, Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Chikmagalur. Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has asked for the deployment of State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) teams in the affected areas and to drain water from the submerged areas at the earliest.
