New Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann took oath in Punjabi at Khatkar Kalan, the village of Shaheed Bhagat Singh. He was administered the oath of office and secrecy by Governor BL Purohit. Mann took oath in the name of God in Punjabi. After this, he raised slogans of Inquilab Zindabad by giving a speech. Bhagwant Mann has now become the 17th Chief Minister of Punjab. However, in terms of tenure, he is the 25th CM of Punjab. After Mann's oath, Prime Minister Modi congratulated him and talked about working together for the future of Punjab.

Bhagwant Mann was to take oath at 12.30 but reached the stage late by 50 minutes. According to officials, they were delayed in reaching Khatkar Kalan due to bad weather. During this, Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia were also seen wearing Basanti turbans on the stage. Delhi government ministers appeared on the stage.
