Bharat Drone Mahotsav 2022: PM Modi inaugurates India's biggest 'Drone Festival'

In view of the increasing impact of drone technology in the world, now India is also ready to be a part of this race. To promote this technology in the country, a 2-day India Drone Festival started in Delhi from today. PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the country's largest drone festival. During this PM Modi made drones and Along with the drivers, the farmers also interacted with the drone drivers.

PM inspected the exhibition at Pragati Maidan

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday inaugurated the two-day Drone Festival 2022 at Pragati Maidan in Delhi. During this he also inspected the exhibition. The Prime Minister said, I am impressed by the drone exhibition. By 2030, India will become a drone hub. He said, in every stall I went to today, everyone used to proudly say that this is Make in India.

The Prime Minister said, this festival is not just about drones, it is a celebration of New India - New Governance. The enthusiasm that is being seen in India regarding drone technology is amazing. This energy is visible, it is a reflection of the quantum jump in the drone service and drone based industry in India. The PM said, this energy shows the potential of an emerging large sector of employment generation in India. This was the time eight years ago, when we started implementing new mantras of good governance in India, he said.

India can become a global drone hub

The PM said, 'India has the potential to become a global drone hub. The enthusiasm that the country is showing for drone technology is amazing. Giving the example of PM Swamitva Yojana, Modi explained how drone technology is becoming the basis of a big revolution. The PM said, 'For the first time under the PM Swamitva scheme, digital mapping of all properties in rural areas of the country was done and 65 lakh digital property cards were also given to the people with the help of drones. 

The Prime Minister said, Drones are being used in every sector. Today farmers are also using drones in agriculture. He said that with the help of this development works are being inspected across the country. I do surprise inspections of development works across the country with the help of drones. Over 1600 delegates including government officials, foreign diplomats, armed forces, central armed police forces, PSUs, private companies and drone startups will participate in the two-day festival.
