Bhupendra Patel Oath Ceremony:
The news of Bhupendra Patel being sworn in as the Chief Minister of Gujarat has surprised everyone. Bhupendra Patel took the oath as the 17th Gujarat CM on 13th September 2021, i.e., Monday, while his cabinet expansion is still due.
After former Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani’s resignation, the name topping the list for the next CM candidate was Nitin Patel. Bhupendra Patel’s nomination as the CM candidate by PM Narendra Modi and BJP high authorities was a complete shocker to everyone because of Bhupendra Patel’s low profile appearance.
Bhupendra Patel’s family also never knew about this decision coming, and they themselves got to know about this through the news on television. While BhupendraPatel’s wife Hetal Patel shared that post-victory, there is a festival-like environment at her home, with everyone quite happy.
While Bhupendra Patel’s daughter Devanshi Patel shared that Bhupendra Patel has always worked hard and served people, and today, he got what he deserved. She also said that his father will perform well at this post too.
Bhupendra Patel’s brother Ketan Patel said that he has been very happy with his brother Bhupendra’s great achievement.
Bhupendra Patel is known as a soft-spoken worker, who has traveled from the municipal level leader to the top post in the politics of the state. Patel contested from the state's Ghatlodiya assembly seat for the first time in 2017 and won by over 1.17 lakh votes, a record in that election. Patel, fondly called 'Dada' among his supporters, is considered close to Anandiben Patel, former Gujarat Chief Minister, and Uttar Pradesh Governor. The assembly he represents is part of the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha seat, from where Union Home Minister Amit Shah is an MP.
