Big accident in Chhattisgarh, more than 7 villagers died due to mine collapse

A big accident took place in Chhattisgarh on Friday. A mine dug in Malgaon village, 11 kilometers away from Jagdalpur, suddenly caved in. So far more than 7 people have died due to this accident. It is being told that more than 12 villagers were trapped in the accident. As soon as the information was received, the teams of NDRF reached there and started the relief work. There are 6 women and 1 man among the dead. 5 people died inside the mine, while two people died while being taken to the hospital.

CM Bhupesh Baghel expressed grief 

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has expressed grief over the mine collapse incident. He tweeted and wrote, 'The news of the tragic death of 6 laborers has been received during an accident in a mine in Malgaon, Jagdalpur. May God give peace to the souls of the departed laborers and courage to their families. Also, I wish speedy recovery of the injured. Praying that other stranded people come out safely.

Reason for going into the mine

The villagers take out the sand from the mine. Chui is a form of lime in a way. It is used by the villagers for painting their houses. Often the villagers enter the touched mine and dig it out. Its quarry is weaker than limestone and there is a possibility of accident. A team of police and SDRF have reached the spot and rescue operation is underway. It is being told that out of the seven people who died, six were women. So far two villagers have reportedly been rescued.
