Bihar Municipal Election 2022: Voting for the first phase of Bihar municipal elections, every voter will cast 3-3 votes

To form the city government, the first phase of voting in the municipal bodies is being held today. Votes are being cast at 6965 centers in 156 municipal bodies of the state, which include 68 city councils and 88 city panchayats. Voting will be done from seven in the morning to five in the evening. Municipal elections are being held in two phases in Bihar. 

Tight security arrangements for civic elections

Preparations are on right for the municipal elections. The message of elaborate security arrangements has been given. The administration is fully prepared for peaceful voting. Along with this, an appeal is also being made to the voters to come on time and vote. The borders have been sealed for the smooth conduct of polling. Along with this, teams of SDRF and NDRF have also been deployed.

No fake voting

The State Election Commission has made complete preparations for the municipal elections. Before voting, the photo of the voter will be matched with the voter list at the booth. Due to this, the bogus voter will be identified. Also, casting a second vote will not be easy in this situation. Poll Day Dashboard, Real Time Voter Turning Report, and EVM Tracking App are being used for the first time by the Commission. Six polling personnel have been deployed at each booth. In the first phase, voting will be held for 156 municipal bodies, 68 city councils, and 88 city panchayats in the state.
