ADR has analysed the affidavits filed with the Election Commission of 32 out of 33 cabinet members including Nitish Kumar. Ashok Chaudhary, who became a minister from JDU quota, has not filed his affidavit. According to the ADR, out of 33 ministers in the new government of Bihar, 72% i.e. 23 have given information about criminal cases being registered against them. Not only this, 53% of these i.e. 17 have serious criminal cases registered.
In Bihar, 31 ministers took oath on Tuesday. Out of this, 16 belonged to RJD. At the same time, 11 MLAs of JDU, 2 of Congress, 1 of HAM and 1 independent MLA took oath of ministers. According to the ADR report, out of 17 (including Tejashwi Yadav) of RJD, 15 i.e. 88% ministers have criminal cases registered against them. At the same time, out of 11 of JDU, 4 ie 36% ministers are tainted. Both the Congress ministers have criminal cases registered against them. At the same time, cases are also registered against us and the MLAs who became ministers from the independent quota.
Tejashwi Yadav, who has become Deputy CM, has been named in the IRCTC scam. According to the affidavit filed during Bihar Elections 2020, Tejashwi Yadav has 11 cases registered against him. These include 7 criminal cases, in which cases of money laundering, criminal conspiracy, fraud are going on. Out of total 33 ministers in Nitish Kumar's cabinet, 24 ministers are facing criminal cases.
