By-polls result: Vote Counting starts on 3 Lok Sabha and 7 Vidhan Sabha seats- Watch Video

UP By-election Results 2022: The counting of votes for the by-elections in Azamgarh and Rampur Lok Sabha seats of Uttar Pradesh has started from 8 am. Let us inform you that voting was held in Azamgarh and Rampur Lok Sabha seats on Thursday amid tight security arrangements. In Azamgarh, 48.58 and Rampur had 40% voting.

With the voting, the fate of 19 candidates was locked in the EVMs. After the by-election for Azamgarh parliamentary seat, the counting of votes will start in a while today. All the EVMs have been brought from the warehouse to the counting place in the morning itself. In view of the counting of votes, tight security arrangements have been made at the counting place. The counting of votes began by simultaneously opening the EVMs at 14 counters. It is expected that the result will also be declared by noon. Counting of votes will be done through EVMs in 2176 booths of total five assembly constituencies.

Vote Counting in Rampur

Counting of votes for Rampur Lok Sabha by-election will start in Mandi Committee shortly. The security at the counting place is so tight that no one will be able to carry a mobile phone. Separate pandals have been made for the five assembly constituencies of the district. In all the assembly constituencies, 14-14 tables have been set up for counting of votes. Counting of votes will be round wise. There will be 27 rounds in Swar-Tanda and Chamraua assembly constituencies, 30 in Bilaspur, 33 in Rampur city and 32 in Milak assembly constituencies. In this way, there will be a total of 149 rounds in the five assembly constituencies. Only after this the name of the elected MP will be announced.

Chief Electoral Officer Ajay Kumar Shukla said that six candidates are in the fray in Rampur Lok Sabha constituency. 13 candidates including a woman are contesting in Azamgarh. SP's Dharmendra Yadav is contesting from Azamgarh Lok Sabha seat. The BJP has fielded Bhojpuri film actor Dinesh Lal Yadav Nirhua here. BSP has given ticket to Shah Alam alias Guddu Jamali. At the same time, SP's city president Asim Raza and BJP's Ghanshyam Lodhi are mainly in the fray in Rampur.
