The political drama in Punjab doesn’t seem like ending as the former Chief Minster Captain Amrinder Singh, in an interview to a private news channel has said that he can’t accept the insult he has received since few days. He has served the Congress Party for more than 50 years, but what’s happening now can’t be tolerated by him. He has made his intentions of leaving Congress party very clear, but at the same time, has also said that he will not join Bharatiya Janata Party either.

Captain's meeting with Amit Shah

Captain Amrinder Singh had earlier met Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, at his residence yesterday. The meeting was interpreted as Captain’s intention to be a part of Bharatiya Janata Party, but Captain refused to and nullified such comments. He, in a tweet, after meeting Amit Shah, informed that he talked to the Home Minister about the issue of Farmers and has urged him to resolve it as soon as possible.

Captain's meeting with NSA Ajit Doval

Captain Amrinder Singh also met National Security Advisor, Ajit Doval, which also gave birth to many assumptions. Just recently, Captain levied some serious allegations on Navjot Singh Sidhu regarding his connections with Pakistan. Hence, his meeting with NSA is also being linked to Punjab's Security.

Captain's political future

Captain Amrinder Singh earlier resigned from the post of Chief Minister of Punjab on September 18,2021. After his resignation, he openly criticised Navjot Singh Sidhu. Now after announcing his exit from the Congress party, several assumptions are arising about his political future. Some still believe that he can join BJP while some believe that he can form his own party.
