The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released the 12th examination results on Friday with a compartment of 4.72 per cent students. Last year, 0.47 percent of students got a compartment. This time the number of students coming to the compartment has increased manifold. The reason for this was the examinations were not conducted last year due to the Corona crisis.
CBSE had given the freedom to the schools to prepare the 12th examination results only on the basis of the 10th and 11th performance of the students. Because of this, very few children had compartments. Whereas this time the result has been prepared on the basis of the examination, so the percentage of compartment has increased manifold. CBSE gave important updates for failing students.
According to the statement issued by CBSE, more opportunities should be provided to the students to improve their performance, so the students of class 12th will be allowed to improve their performance in 1 subject in the compartment examination. The examination for all the students placed in compartment category will be conducted from August 23, 2022.
The exam will be conducted on the syllabus of the exam term 2.Students who offered 6 or more subjects and could not pass in any of the first 5 subjects except language, changed from Fail subject to 6th subject and declared pass, also to improve performance in failed subject. allowed in compartment examination.
Meanwhile, CBSE had earlier announced that equal weightage will be given to both Term 1 and Term 2 for practical exams. This year, around 35 lakh students appeared for the CBSE 10th, 12th Term-2 Exam 2022 held from 26 April to 15 June. A total of 21 lakh students appeared for CBSE class 10th and 14 lakh candidates appeared for CBSE 12th examination 2022. Whereas a total of 12,21,195 student candidates and 8,94,993 girl students had registered for the CBSE class 10th examination this year.
