In Chandigarh too, a case like Shraddha murder case has come to the fore. An already married Muslim youth living in a rented house in the city's Burail and a hindu girl living in the neighbourhood fell in love. For almost two years he hid from the girl that he was married.
When the girl came to know that he was married, she distanced herself from the young man. This matter angered the Muslim youth and he entered the girl's house and strangled her to death. There is also a suspicion of rape before the murder. The accused has been identified as 25-year-old Mohammad Shariq, a resident of Bela village in Madhubani district of Bihar.
Ram Gopal (DSP, Chandigarh) told that a woman named Champa lives in a rented house in Burail. The woman had a daughter and a son. When the woman came home after work on November 19, she found her unconscious, even after raising her voice, she did not wake up. When he was taken to the hospital, he was found dead. The woman lodged a complaint.
Ram Gopal told that during investigation it was found that there was a boy named Sharik who came to the deceased from behind and strangulated the deceased to death. This boy had come earlier also after which the deceased refused to have any kind of relation with him. The boy is a resident of Bihar and is married.
