Several times, farmers also have to lose their life in severe accidents due to thresher machines, sprayers/dusters, sugarcane dusters and more. CM Farmer Accident Welfare Scheme 2022: Compensation of Rs 5 Lakh
In order to safeguard the future of a farmer’s family, the Uttar Pradesh government approved the Mukhyamantri Kisan Accident Kalyan Yojana in January 2020. Under this scheme, if a farmer dies or becomes disabled while doing farming, his family members will get Rs 5 lakh and Rs 2 lakh respectively as compensation.

The benefits of the Uttar Pradesh government scheme will be transferred to the farmer's wife, son, daughter, grandson, granddaughter, or even sharecroppers. The Uttar Pradesh government scheme is only for those farmers who are residents of UP and have a mother, father, husband, wife, son, daughter, daughter-in-law, grandson or daughter. Those who are cultivating or leasing their land, or who are dependent only on agricultural work.
CM Farmer Accident Welfare Scheme 2022: Age Limit
Only those farmers who fall under the age group of 18 years to 70 years will get the benefit of the scheme. The family members of the farmers who die while cultivating will get full compensation which is five lakh rupees. There is a provision of giving compensation of Rs 2 lakh to those who have become disabled by more than 60% while doing farming.
CM Farmer Accident Welfare Scheme 2022: How to avail the scheme?
If a farmer has died or got disabled while doing farming then his family will have to fill the form. It has to be submitted to the Tehsil office of your respective city along with all the relevant documents.
This form has to be filled out within a period of 45 days from the date of occurrence of the incident. If somehow the farmer's family does not submit the documents within a stipulated period, then there is a provision to give them another 30 days to submit their form. But for this, they have to submit a letter that is signed by the District Magistrate (DM) of the city, but if you do not submit the claim form within that period of 75 days, your form will not be accepted.

All the farmers who have died or have become disabled more than 60% can avail the scheme. Their families can take the benefit from this scheme.

Under this scheme, all the members of the family along with the sharecroppers have also been included.

Those who have become handicapped while doing farming will get Rs 2 lakh.

The amount of compensation will be deposited in the account of the farmer’s family.
