CM Yogi Adityanath issues warning for putting loudspeakers in religious places- Watch Video

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that more than one lakh loudspeakers have been brought down in the state so far and the officials have been entrusted with the responsibility to ensure that the removed loudspeakers should not be used again.

Yogi, who reached Jhansi on Saturday evening, discussed with the public representatives, conducted a divisional review of the development works and claimed that more than one lakh loudspeakers have been launched in the state so far.

Giving instructions to the officials, he said, it should be ensured that the loudspeakers that were dropped should not be used again. Yogi said that religious events should be confined within the premises of religious places, no festival should be organized on the road and these events should not cause any inconvenience in the movement of ordinary citizens.

The campaign to remove illegal loudspeakers installed at religious places in the state and limit the sound of other loudspeakers to the prescribed limit started on April 25 and lasted till May 1.

Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar had said in Lucknow that illegally installed loudspeakers are being removed from all religious places without any discrimination and all such loudspeakers have been categorized as illegal. Permission has not been taken from the administration. Kumar had also said that the orders of the High Court are also being kept in mind during the proceedings regarding loudspeakers.
