Commonwealth Games 2022: India won Silver, TT and Gold in Lawn Bowl by Mixed Team in Badminton

India succumbed 1-3 to Malaysia and settled for a silver in the mixed team badminton event at the Commonwealth Games 2022 at Birmingham on Tuesday.PV Sindhu did what was expected out of her in the women's singles while the men's doubles pairing of Satwik Sairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty went down in the opening doubles.

India's Women's Fours team defeated South Africa 17-10 to capture the Gold Medal Match for the first time ever. India's men's table tennis team defeated Singapore in the championship match to win the Gold Medal, the nation's fifth overall. With Gopichand standing on the Commonwealth Games podium for the first time in 24 years, India's mixed badminton team won the silver medal. Vikas won the Silver Medal in the Men's 96 kg weightlifting final after lifting 191 kg in his second Clean and Jerk attempt, bringing his total weight to 346 kg. Both Indians advanced for the finals, with Anees placing eighth overall with 7.68m to Sreeshankar's first-place finish of 8.05m in the long-jump standings.
