Talking to the media, Congress Leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury used an objectionable word about President Draupadi Murmu. He addressed Murmu as the national wife instead of the President, after which his statement became increasingly viral and the BJP caught it seeing the opportunity.

Sonia Gandhi asked to take action

Although Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury has apologised for his statement, the BJP is a constant attacker against him. At the same time, the National Commission for Women (NCW) has also summoned Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury in this matter. The Women's Commission has asked Chaudhary to appear on August 3 at 11.30 am.

On behalf of the National Commission for Women, Sonia Gandhi has also been asked to intervene in this matter. The Women's Commission has asked Sonia to take appropriate action against Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury in this matter.

Adhir Ranjan will apologise

Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury met the journalists outside the House. Journalists surrounded his statement. Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said, 'What are you saying, I will apologise to these hypocrites. He is a hypocrite of the BJP. I made a mistake but these BJP leaders insulted Madam Sonia. Madam Sonia did a lot of work to save water, forest, land during the tenure of UPA. These hypocrites (BJP) are being given all this to the capitalists.

Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said what language did these people use for Sonia Gandhi during the election. What did these people talk about for Shashi Tharoor's wife? How did these people give statements about Renuka Chaudhary? After this he said that I will go to meet the President. I have asked her for time. Maybe I can get the time tomorrow i.e. Saturday. I will meet her and apologise and speak my mind.
