Coronavirus India Update: 2.82 Lakh New Covid Cases In India- Watch Video

New Delhi: Around 2.82 lakh new Covid cases were reported in India over the past 24 hours, a rise of 18 per cent from yesterday's covid cases. The positivity rate climbed marginally from 14.43 per cent to 15.13 per cent. India has so far reported 8,961 cases of the Omicron variant, which is driving the third wave of the pandemic. It rose by 0.79 per cent since yesterday.

The country's active caseload currently stands at 18.31 lakh, the Health Ministry said. A total of 70.74 crore samples have been tested in the country.18.69 lakh tests were conducted in the past 24 hours.
