Coronavirus India Updates: On Friday, India recorded 3,47,254 new cases of the coronavirus, along with 703 deaths in the past 24 hours. According to the data shared by the Union Health Ministry on Friday January 21. Also, the country saw a total of 2,51,777 discharges in the last 24 hours, taking the total recovery rate at around 93.69 per cent and total recoveries data increased to 3,60,58,806.

Total Active Covid-19 Cases in India

The total active cases of COVID-19 in India have reached 20,18,825 as per the data of the health ministry today.

The total death toll in the country is now at 4,88,396. Additionally, on Friday,  the tally of Omicron cases has reached 9,692 with an increase of 4.36% since yesterday.

As compared to yesterday (January 20), the total number of fresh COVID cases is up by 29,722 today.  Yesterday, India had reported 3,17,532 cases.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 71,15,38,938 samples have been tested up to January 20 for COVID-19.
