Coronavirus India Update:

The Covid-19 cases in the country have gradually declined in the recent past providing much-needed relief. Meanwhile, India has touched the magic figure of 100 crores in terms of early vaccination.

According to a study on the Covid-19 virus, there is a decline in the spread of the deadly virus across the country. The country's R-value, which shows the speed at which the coronavirus pandemic spreads, has currently reached the lowest since 1st September.

What is R-value?

It must be noted that the 'R-value' shows how many people are turning positive on an average in the country by an infected person. In other words, the value of 'R' indicates how easily the virus is spreading. An R-value less than 1 means that the disease is spreading slowly. Conversely, if the value of R is greater than 1, it means that the number of infected people is increasing in each round. In technical language, this is called the phase of the pandemic. The higher the R-value of 1, the faster the rate of pandemic spread in the population.

100 crore Covid-19 vaccines administered:

India has recently crossed the mark of administering 100 crore Covid-19 vaccines all across the country. While recently, the emergency usage of Bharat Biotech's Covaxin doses for children from 2 to 18 years old age was also approved.
