Coronavirus India Update: If the third wave of Covid-19 pandemic hits India, the intensity will be less, says CSIR

Coronavirus India Update:

The Coronavirus vaccination campaign is being conducted on a war footing in the country. Regarding vaccination, Dr. Shekhar C Mande, Director General, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) said that we have been successful in getting a large population of the country vaccinated for the first and second doses. 

The vaccine prevents the disease to a great extent, it also reduces the severity of the Covid-19. Along with this, he said that whenever the third wave of Coronavirus pandemic arrives, its intensity will be less and much less than the second wave.

On the other hand, more than 81.39 crore corona vaccine doses have been provided by the Center to the states and union territories. Along with this, about 86 lakh vaccine doses are in the pipeline. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare gave this information on Friday.

The ministry further said that 4 crores 23 lakh 43 thousand 720 (4,23,43,720) vaccine doses are still available with the states and union territories.

As part of the nationwide vaccination campaign, the Government of India is supporting the States and Union Territories by providing them free Covid-19 vaccines.

Covid-19 caseload  fluctuating constantly:

The total Covid-19 cases being reported in the country are fluctuating constantly. While the total Covid-19 cases in India have reached 3,36,52,745, with the active cases being around 3,03,476, the death toll has reached 4,46,918, and the total recoveries from Covid-19 virus have reached 3,29,02,351.
