Union health secretary gives statement

Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan in his letter to the states and union territories had said that 'through testing-surveillance-treatment-vaccination and covid-appropriate behaviour, India has been able to limit the spread of coronavirus. Such an exercise would enable timely detection of new variants of the virus, if any, in the country and help in taking necessary public health steps.
