The cases of corona infection are increasing continuously in the country. According to the latest figures of the Ministry of Health, 3,688 new cases have been found and 50 deaths have been registered in the last 24 hours, out of which 45 deaths are from Kerala alone. Earlier deaths in Kerala are being released with new figures. Active cases have increased by 883 and their number has increased to 18,684 which is 0.04 percent of the total cases. The daily infection rate is 0.74 percent and the weekly infection rate is 0.66 percent.

According to the report of news agency ANI, 1,520 new cases of corona were registered in Delhi in the last 24 hours while one person died due to infection. At the same time, 1,412 people were cured of the infection. Active cases in the national capital have increased to 5,716 while the positivity rate has reached 5.10 percent. The total number of infected in Delhi has increased to 18,83,075 while 26,175 people have lost their lives due to this epidemic so far.
The Karnataka government on Saturday directed officials to initiate surveillance measures for those coming from Japan and Thailand. According to the report of news agency PTI, these surveillance measures also include RT-PCR test for asymptomatic cases of corona in the airport testing laboratory. In the circular issued by the state government, it has been said that those coming from Japan and Thailand will have to undergo thermal screening at Bengaluru and Mangaluru International Airport.
According to the data of the Kovin portal, a total of 189.01 crore doses of anti-corona vaccine have been administered so far. These include 100.34 crore first, 85.98 crore second and 2.68 crore vigilance dose. According to the Health Ministry, 19.43 crore doses are left with the states and union territories, which are to be used for vaccination. The Union Health Ministry said on Saturday that the number of precautionary doses given so far has increased to 7,47,648 in the age group of 18 to 59 years.
