Nitin Gadkari launches first-ever surety bond insurance product from Bajaj Allianz
Nitin Gadkari, the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, has introduced one of Bajaj Allianz's pioneering Surety Bond Insurance products in India. In a statement regarding the product launch, Mr. Gadkari stated that India is well on its way to becoming a five trillion dollar economy and realising Prime Minister Narendra Modi's promise. According to him, insurance will be crucial to this expansion. The Minister voiced assurance that improving our road system will bring about greater wealth, more job opportunities, and improved social cohesion.
G20: Ahmedabad to host U20 cycle
Hardeep Singh Puri, a union minister, too expressed his joy that the U20 tournament would be held in Ahmedabad, the nation's commercial and cultural centre. In his video message, he said, “The platform will also benefit from the sharing of best practises of urban bodies from major cities of G20 countries.”
France’s Karim Benzema announced retirement from international football
Karim Benzema, a football player for France, has declared his retirement from international competition. Despite having scored 37 goals in 97 games for France, Benzema's tenure with the team hasn't exactly been smooth since his debut 15 years ago.
