CEBR: India to become $10-trillion economy by 2035

India will become the third largest economy by 2037 and a $10 trillion economy by 2035, according to Center for Economics and Business Research (CEBR), a leading think tank based in London. The world is headed for recession, according to a report released Monday.
"This growth trajectory will see India rise from fifth place on the World Economic League Table in 2022 to third in the global rankings by 2037," the report said. 

Anil Kumar Lahoti to be next Railway Board Chairman

The next Railway Board Chairman and Chief Executive Officer will be senior official from Railways, Anil Kumar Lahoti. He will assume the charge from January 1, 2023. He is a member of the Indian Railways Services of Engineer's batch of 1984. On December 31, incumbent Railway Board Chairman and CEO V K Tripathi will retire. 

Lt Gen Arvind Walia appointed next Engineer-in-Chief of Indian Army

Lieutenant General Arvind Walia has been appointed as the next Engineer-in-Chief of the Indian Army. An officer of the 1986 batch, Lt Gen Walia is an alumnus of the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun. On December 31 Lt Gen Harpal Singh who is superannuating.
