Myplan8 launches app to sensitize about carbon footprint

On Tuesday, firm Myplan8  launched an application to sensitize people about their carbon footprint and help reduce emissions. Anyone can check their carbon footprint through the app, you just have to answer a few questions on the Myplan 8 app. The initiative my this startup firm will help to move towards a society which more carbon-conscious, and also will encourage a more sustainable way of living. 

David Warner Scores double century in his 100th Test

Becoming the tenth man in the history of test cricket, David Warner scored a century in his 100th test. He also became the second to score a double against South Africa at the MCG. He joined the elite group of players after achieving this milestone and became the second to achieve this feat after former Australian player Rickey Ponting. Joe Root was the only other cricketer to score a double hundred in his 100th Test.

KR Gouri Amma national award conferred to Cuban social worker Aleida Guevara

Prominent Cuban social worker and human rights advocate Aleida Guevara will be conferred for the first time with the prestigious KR Gouri Amma national award,  which is awarded by the K.R. Gouri Amma Foundation. The award comprises of $3000, a statuette and citation will be given away by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan at the ceremony which will be conducted in Kerala on January 5.  Dr. Aleida is also an active member of the Cuban Medical Mission which works to improve the health conditions of children in Latin America.
