Largest Women Contingent Of Peacekeepers at a UN Mission Deployed By Indian Army 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed happiness on Friday at the Indian Army deploying its largest contingent of women peacekeepers at a UN mission. Army tweet that said: "Indian Army deploys its largest contingent of women peacekeepers in United Nations mission at Abyei, UNISFA. The team will provide relief and assistance to women and children in one of the highly operational and challenging terrain conditions under the UN flag." 

The Sydney Cricket Ground installs the first statue in honour of a female cricketer, Belinda Clark

Belinda Clark of Australia is the first female cricketer to have a statue created in her honour; the trailblazing former captain's bronze sculpture was unveiled outside Sydney Cricket Ground. Between 1991 and 2005, Clark participated in nearly 100 limited overs matches and 15 tests. In 1997, when playing Denmark, she made an unbeaten 229 to set a record for the highest one-day international score.

Art Director Sunil Babu passes away

Famous art director Sunil Babu passed away on Thursday night at a private hospital from a heart arrest, according to sources in his family. He was 50. Babu contributed to numerous successful films in the Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu film industries. In addition to others, he is well recognised for his work on the films Ananthabhadram, Bangalore Days, Kayamkulam Kochunni, Pazhassiraja, and Notebook.
