Singer Lisa Marie Presley passed away at 54

Lisa Marie Presley, the only child of the legendary rock musician Elvis, passed away at the age of 54. Like her father, the 1968 she had a flourishing career in music. She was wed to Michael Jackson, Nicholas Cage, Danny Keough, and Michael Lockwood, all of whom were musicians. 

 

World's longest river cruise Ganga Vilas inaugurated in India 

The world's longest river cruise, the MV Ganga Vilas, was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday in Varanasi. The MV Ganga Vilas will depart from Varanasi, the seat of Prime Minister Modi, and travel 3,200 kilometres (about 51 days) over 27 river systems in Bangladesh and India to reach Dibrugarh in Assam. In addition to key towns like Patna in Bihar, Sahibganj in Jharkhand, Kolkata in West Bengal, Dhaka in Bangladesh, and Guwahati in Assam, the voyage will stop at 50 tourist destinations, including World Heritage Sites, National Parks, river Ghats, and World Heritage Sites. 

 

Ravi Kumar S appointed as Cognizant’s new CEO 

On January 12, Cognizant officially named Ravi Kumar S as the company's new CEO. In the IT firm, the man takes Brian Humphries' place. In his role as President and COO of Infosys, Ravi Kumar S has devoted 20 years of his life to the organisation. In October 2022, he quit Infosys. As President of Cognizant Americas, he then joined Cognizant. Analysts at Cognizant decided to consider Kumar for the job of CEO because they believed the organisation needed new leadership.
