Sri Lanka to receive 65,000MT of urea from India

India has recently assured Sri Lanka to immediately supply 65,000 metric tonnes of urea to avoid any disruption in paddy cultivation in the country which is facing the worst economic crisis of history. High Commissioner of Sri Lanka in New Delhi Milinda Moragoda met with the Secretary of the Department of Fertilisers Rajesh Kumar Chaturvedi in New Delhi on Thursday to discuss the supply of urea required for the current Yala cultivation season in Sri Lanka, according to media reports.
 

World Blood Donor Day 2022

World Blood Donor Day is observed on 14 June across the world. This day is observed every year on 14 June with an aim of creating a worldwide culture of voluntary blood donation. Mexico will host World Blood Donor Day 2022 through its National Blood Centre. The global event will be held in Mexico City on 14 June 2022. The slogan/theme for the World Blood Donor Day 2022 is “Donating blood is an act of solidarity. Join the effort and save lives”.
